Why this should be a surprise is beyond me. Nazism and Islam are very similar to each other - both are violently militaristic, both emphasise the inferiority of outsiders, and both are anti-Jewish. And it's no secret that members of both admired the other.

You're an idiot. Hitler used its military capabilities only to regain the lost German territories. It's Churchill who is violent, not the Germans. He practically guaranteed WW2 by placing a guarantee on Poland's sovereignty. Poland was going to give up Danzig until Churchill promised (and an empty promise that was) to aid Poland if it went to war with Germany. The Brits, or the head honchos of the UK anyhow wanted war, not Hitler.

How could Poland have given up Danzig when it wasn't even part of Poland? It was under a League of Nations mandate. Poland, however, would have been very unlikely to want to give up the territory to the west of Danzig, which was its only route to the sea.
