If there were any massive rape it was perpetrated among the natives themselves, for instance the Tlaxcaltecan warriors hated so much the aztecs that during Tenochtitlan siege tlaxcaltecan braves commited all sorts of excesses vs the population such as rape and killing of women and children you fools.

Why would Spaniards do so if they needed workers for the encomiendas? On the Caribbean islands there are no native Americans. They died off or were absorbed. The native population of those islands were too small to take the impact like in modern day Mexico, Peru, etc. North of modern day Mexico the Amerindian population was also relatively small.

One thing is dying en masse due to diseases, and another quite different is exterminating them.
Due their high death rate, Spaniards brought blacks to their encomiendas in Caribe, also because Natives were weaks at work.

In the other hand British almost exterminated Natives not by diseases but by the weapons, that is the difference.
Plus, British caged the survivors in the Indian reservations like animals which even today exist. Good behavior.

Well, Criollos were descendants of Spaniards but they were colonials, they had not the same legal status than Spaniards from Spain. That's why they ended up rebelling against Spain, because they wanted to rule and manage the territories without Spanish presence.

It depends on whether you consider mass rape or mass murder to be more heinous. The Spaniards carried out more of the former, the English more of the latter.

You can't compare both. The Negros were slaves so they were treated almost like animals, but the Amerindians were subjects of the Spanish crown so they had rights.

The British would give blankets to the Natives with disease in them, they also made the natives fight against each other. The truly tried to genocide the Natives. In the other hand Spanish married natives and then considered their kids second class citizens.
