I think Russians? I mean Russia is in Asia geographically so it makes sense they have this influence. But I am no expert.

Only exact minor groups of ethnic Russians in northern part of country have some Mongoloid traits caused by assimilation of local Ugric tribes during the colonisation of North. Average Russians of Central and Southern Russia have no more mongoloid traits than other European population. Genetically those northern Russians are closeк to Baltic and Ugro-Finnish ethnic groups than to other Russians.

Yep, Southern Russia genetics is almost identical to Southern Ukraine, with slightly weaker Balkan influence. Vlach peasant and herdsmen migartion (Moldova and Transilvania Vlachs) to the Novorossia was quite intensive in 18 century, Balkan migration was not that intensive including mostly Serbian, Montenegrin and Greek military men and officers with their families. Zaporozhie Sich was full of Vlach cossacks aswell, even some hetmans were Vlachs. Lots of Moldavian serfs escaped the serfdom to become cossacks aswell.

Saying that Russia cannot be Northern Europe because it is in Eastern Europe is like saying that Norway cannot be Northern Europe because it is in Western Europe.
Russians are genetically probably more northern than North Germanic people in terms of their EEF/MENA/wog admixture.
Below is the latitude of the center of population of European countries (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_of_population). The list is mostly based on data published by Eurostat (https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...=1#post6358087). Russia includes Asian Russia, whose population is concetrated further south than European Russia, but Russia still ranks higher than Denmark.

Southwestern Russia is more Mediterranid and lacking in Mongoloid indeed. Lundman also noted that Tatars from Southwestern Russia had less Mongoloid admixture than other Tatars.
