Default Is Turkey an Islamic State?

Unlike wannabe Turks, real Turks are Muslim. Because since the beginning days of Turkey, Islam always exist. Turkey is based on Islam; the reason why Muslim Seljuk did Jihad and conquered Asia Minor. To spread Islam and create a new Islamic state.

This is correct point. The spread of Turks from Central asia to here and further to Balkans was a jihad.

    Hello Imam!
Great you are here! I hope you are not a lame troll but a real idiot because I consider them as more funny.

By the way, of course you are right. Since the first Turks existed they only had one dream. Have an Islamic state and spread Islam everywhere. For example Kemalism or Turanism is pure Islamic. And don't forget the only real Turks, the Janissaries. All they wanted is an Islamic state.

So much prove, no wannabe Turk could argue against this!

    I.

Article 1: Form of the State

c1. The Turkish state is a Republic.

    II

Article 2: Characteristics of the Republic

c1. The Republic of Turkey is a democratic, secular and social state governed by the rule of law; bearing in mind the concepts of public peace, national solidarity and justice; respecting human rights; loyal to the nationalism of Atatürk, and based on the fundamental tenets set forth in the Preamble.

    III

Article 3: Integrity of the State, Official Language, Flag, National Anthem, and Capital

c1. The Turkish state, with its territory and nation, is an indivisible entity. Its language is Turkish.
c2. Its flag, the form of which is prescribed by the relevant law, is composed of a white crescent and star on a red background.
c3. Its national anthem is the “İstiklâl Marşı”.
    c4. Its capital is Ankara.

    IV

    Article 4: Irrevocable Provisions

c1. The provision of Article 1 of the Constitution establishing the form of the state as a Republic, the provisions in Article 2 on the characteristics of the Republic, and the provision of Article 3 shall not be amended, nor shall their amendment be proposed.
In 1928, Islam as the religion of the State was removed from the Constitution (Sharia law had been abolished back in 1924). In 1937, the principle of Laïcité/Secularism was inserted into the second article of the Constitution.

Only Muslim-majority countries that do not have an official religion are Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Turkey, and the rest of the Turkic states in Central Asia including Azerbaijan.

Turkey is like the US; it's officially secular but religion has an important role in a significant part of the society and it affects the politics as well. See Republicans in the US who defend religious conservative values and such.
