My grandmother was Ukrainian, not Polish. She was Orthodox, born in Lviv region, but moved to Volyn at aged 4, where her family owned a farm.

Actually, I do not support what the OUN/UPA did in Volyn. I strongly condemn the killing of the Polish civilians in Volyn. Killing civilians in wartime is a war crime. I am not Far Right, Alt-Right or Fascist, nor do I support such groups or activities.

This is a terrible thing, I agree. Rivne and Volyn Oblasts are dealing with this problem. I know the band Tartak has done tree plantings and fundraisers with various Ukrainian ecological groups to address this issue and the stripping of forests in Ukraine. Ukraine has a long, hard road ahead. My prayers always for a better future!
