The City of Pearl, Manila is only one of several new CBDs planned for Manila, Philippines. There's also the New CBD for Quezon district.

The new additions would be added to the several, already existing CBDS in Metro Manila...
Bonifacio Global City
Makati City
Ortigas Center
Libis
Alabang
Binondo (The world's oldest Chinatown)
Ermita/Downtown Manila
Damn, we already have many more CBDs than Manhattan which only has two, Downtown and Midtown...
Manila already has seven of those...
Then, it will be 9 with the addition of the new, Pearl City, and Quezon Triangle Park...

super futuristic looking!
Looks like Makati and BGC have just been trumped
Makati btw is my favorite out of all the Manila business districts there are, even though BGC is actually the newer development of the two. But this 'City of Pearl' looks almost like The Jetsons ..."Entertainment city manila" is another megaproject I've heard about...this one Japanese billionaire tycoon named Okada whose main ultimate ambition is to trump the mighty Las Vegas or so I've heard lol.
Btw Selurong which Manila CBD do you prefer most out of all, if you were to live in one?

They really cleaned up and renovated Intramuros recently. I visited early last year, and the streets are much more immaculate and tidy looking then they were several years ago when I first visited the place. I have lots of cool pics when I was there...great memories. I wonder what type of Spanish architecture those buildings and city designs were modeled after.

Looks great. See, Duterte was right to make peace with China.

What I would love in Philippines is a high tech full-fledged subway system that could rival the likes of Hong Kong/New York etc. I think that would significantly boost the Philippines reputation by quite a bit!

HK has a very efficient subway line, because HK is small.
But the largest subway systems in the world are now in Beijing and Shanghai. Longer than NYC, London, or Tokyo.

Also, HK's development nowadays are dwarfed by the huge projects in many of Mainland China's huge cities.
Just take Chongqing for instance.
Without a doubt, Duterte was right to make peace with China for the sake of the Philippines' future development.
