What kind of phenotype is best suited for James Bond?
In Ian Fleming's From Russia With Love, Bond is described as being slim build(1.83m/6ft - 76kg/167lb); a three-inch, vertical scar on his right cheek; blue-grey eyes; a "cruel" mouth; short, black hair, a comma of which falls on his forehead.
In Fleming's Casino Royale, Bond is said to resemble Hoagy Carmichael:
"Bond reminds me rather of Hoagy Carmichael, but there is something cold and ruthless."
He also makes the same kind of statement in Moonraker:
Does that make Bond Nordatlantid?"certainly good-looking . . . Rather like Hoagy Carmichael in a way. That black hair falling down over the right eyebrow. Much the same bones. But there was something a bit cruel in the mouth, and the eyes were cold."
(I have Bond novels at home, but I never read them, so thank you wikipedia )
