The immigrants, mostly young men from poor villages, say they are fleeing religious and political persecution. More than 1,600 Indians have been caught since the influx began here early last year, while an undetermined number, perhaps thousands, are believed to have sneaked through undetected, according to U.S. border authorities.

I didn't see that one coming. Surely India is an emerging economy so they can shove the entire "refugee nonsense" and go south and work in their own bloody country instead of coming to mooch of the U.S.A. If they have enough money to fly to Latin America then they can protect themselves in their own country.

I think it was President Reagan who said something like a nation with out secure borders isn't a nation at all. This is one more example of a complete failure of the federal government to do anything about illegal immigration. States like Arizona are punished for doing something while the government in Washington D.C. doesn't do very much at all!
