I knew about what Batu Khan did to Russia and about invasion of Hungary and Croatia. but didn't know they pushed so much in Poland or Subutay sacking Serbia and Bulgaria.
Poles and Hungarians could gather army, but Rus' states weren't allowed to do so. They moved so quickly that all Rus' states were paralysed.
It's said Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan studied the Mongol tactics during WW2. Germans just partly could copy from Batu's invasion of Rus like with swift panzer divisions moving quickly inside Russia but they ultimately failed because Germans couldn't resist the Russian winter while on other hand Mongols invaded Russia in the very winter.
