Default Why are Epicanthic folds not as common in Upper Palaeolithic survivors as they are in Mongoloids

While Brunns, Baltids, Alpines, Saamis etc have higher occurrences of the epicanthic fold than Med groups they are still nowhere near universal like they are in the Mongoloids proper, what explains the varying eye shapes in virtually all UP groups?

Because there`s still a good portion of Neolithic Farmer in all UP`s. It just varies in percentage and of course the outcome is always determined to a certain degree by chance.

Thanks, true but then in some groups it is fairly minimal like in the Saami, also Mongoloid peoples have other elements in their ancestry no?

Oppositional theory, East asians have good climate, they have epicanthic fold anyways.

Yeah though i think it is a climate adaption to an extent but it probably developed in Europe or Russia but never spread to total populations, there is no scientific evidence that epicanthic folds can wear arctic climates more effectively though.

(Real) Epicanthic fold are simply (proto-)mongolic traits.

There is a theory that the mongoloid race was formed in the Gobi desert and the hooded eyes were a defense line against the sandblasting. Also many bushman and other black african have hooded eyes. Bushman from the Kalahari desert are very mongoloid:

Of course, but keep in mind, that there are hardly any unmixed Saami (who looked a lot more like Inuits) left. Those, who look mostly European actually are for the most part of European DNA. (Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Russian)
