No surprise since the ancestral homeland of the Aschenazi branch is Khazaria, just north of Caucasus.

That's only true for certain Jewish branches, Ashkenazi as such seem to be mostly Near Eastern + European derived.

But their Near Eastern part has a strong Armenoid = Caucasian related, component, actually Armenid is the 1st racial element among Ashkenazi Jews (like Nordid in Swedes).

Most of these are Nordoid - Osteuropid, with the NW-Russian being closest to Nordoid.

The Komi-Permian is quite strongly Europid and rather Nordoid too.
