Funny thing is that the name "Football Manager" was used for EA Sports' FIFA Management games between the 99 game and the 2002 game. The Football Manager series started in 2004. They must have paid EA a lot of money to have the rights to the name "Football Manager". By the time the Football Manager series started, EA Sports' FIFA Manager games had the name of "Total Club Manager" that ran between 2003 and 2005 games. Starting with the 2006 edition, it was called FIFA Manager (06-14).

P.S.: FIFA Manager 14 is much better than Football Manager. I played Football Manager 2020 last year, but even if it was 2020 in its name, it was nothing compared to FIFA Manager 14. Too bad that FIFA Manager series was cut short.
