She was a natural brunette.
When I was a kid I watched an old movie she was in called "Bus Stop". I was mesmerized by her personality, looks and charm. The next day, I told my older sister about the movie and she informed me Monroe had died decades ago. I was crushed by that news.
Today, I don't find her to be that attractive just looking at her photos, but I haven't watched a movie she was in in a very long time. Pictures do not do her justice, it's really her personality that makes her so interesting and beautiful.

True, she was beautiful but not the extent of being a legend based on her looks alone (it was other factors that contributed to that, including her relationship with Kennedy).
I believe it was rather Rita Hayworth that deserves the title of legendary beauty.

Borreby-Nordid.
However, I have read that Mortensen (her alleged father) is not her father. On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Monroe for example, it says that her biological father was a man called Charles Stanley Gifford... who knows though for sure?
