I wish there were more diphthongs in Polish, like ay, oy, ey etc. in the words. Let's take the AAVE, for example. The reason, I think, it does not sound melodious is the fact, that Black Vernacular English monophthongizes certain words, like, instead of "I" (ai), they say "I", as in "uh".
I love enunciating diphthongs, while singing. In Polish, I cannot do that, unless I hear the pre-war version of Polish language.
PS I know you would say "we already have diphthongs, like ą, ę, but they sound stupid to my lips.
