This historical novel is written in 1936 by August Mälk, the 2nd most popular Estonian writer in the 1930's, only Anton Hansen Tammsaare was more popular than him back then.
In my opinion it's a good book and a Finnish translation of the book should be available (I'm not certain).
Here's a short summary of the book:
The novel's plot is related to the destroying of Sigtuna in 1187. Lehholinna (Lehho's town) grand elder's son Alar, who is on a trading trip in Sweden, meets a local noble's daughter Gyla and plans to rob her. The robbing is unsuccessful. Alar and Gyla meet again when Alar is raiding Sigtuna.
Romaani sündmustik on seotud Sigtuna hävitamisega 1187. aastal.
