Yes, as we know it. But the problem remains that the true age of the universe may not be reflected in the simulation and that the simulation may encompass our sense experience.
Of course, the universe itself isn’t possibly a simulation, because the universe is the sum of contingent objects.
Intuitively, we at least don’t seem to live in another virtual reality, which you also proposed. I mean, what is intuitively immediately self-evident, i.e. a=a, 1+1=2, seems never contradicted by our experience.
I don’t have absolute certainty that I have two hands, but cognitively my belief that I do is justified. In the same way, I don’t reasonably doubt that I’m not hallucinating or in a simulation or a virtual reality.
Your proposition can’t be ruled out, and so your belief may be a true belief, but your belief is not justified. So, it’s safe to say that at least it’s not more likely.
