Because those phenotypes would have come over from Iran, hence the presence of CM types in Iran or the alpine enclaves in parts of the Caucasus and in a narrow strip going east as far as the Tarim basin.

They have Iranian neoltihic farmer ancestry, but it can be misleading as the term Iranian has little to do with the actual farmers who came from modern day Kurdistan/Iran within the zagros mountains. They may as well be called Zagrosian neolithic farmers.

Thats not true, they have a decent amount of steppe ancestry. Hardly less than other iranians, being descended from north khorosani type pastoralists like other iranians in iran. On qpadm theyre like 15-20% steppe. Similiar with other iranians.

This is of course admixtools2, a less strict program used for qpadm. Admixtools1 would been slightly different, but they still would score like 15-20% pastoralist, not almost little to no steppe

The second picture is sort of misleading, since those pak balochs are very likely mixed with sindhi indians.

But apart from some few, theyre very atypical for rest of iran.

Cant post myself, sorry. I seen someone make models of pashtuns, but I cant find the models. I do remember mashriqi pashtuns score 50% IVC, 30% steppe and 20% bmac on qpadm.

Qpadm isnt like g25, so it takes lot of time to make a model, so not many people will do models.

They are Baloch militants who surrendered to Pakistani army in 2017 in Quetta.
Quetta is a long way from Sindh.

As it happens I saw this Sindhi Indian on TV this afternoon. He looks different to the above Baloch.

This guy is also Sindhi Indian.

Quetta is multi-ethnic and I dont think these guys are all native of Quetta, and instead further southeast. But let's say theyre not mixed at all, they dont look like balochs from Iran, who are more closer to baloch appearance. Sure there's the picture from Iran posted by OP, but it's in bad quality and the men's grooming gives another picture.

Pictures like this would be more proper for baloch phenotype representation:

Sure in these crowd pictures many still look indic, but there people has a strain of west iranic look to them, unlike the pak balochs. 30-40% of the balochs look like dark persians, the rest look like a mix of west iranic + indic or just indic

These pictures have the balochs look more west iranic looking. Makes sense since balochs were originally around southeast iran, but many balochs moved into pakistan in Middle Ages.
