The job market only rewards conventional jobs : doctors, engineers, lawyers, natural scientists, IT, real estate and finance. If you're not a graduate of those, your only chance to be rich is being an influencer or starting your own business. Do it.

I used to think like you. Reality is much harsher. Blue collar jobs are taken by immigrants, white collar jobs by elites, so the average pleb has to make prank videos to make a decent living, but even in that case it's not even guaranteed.

No, I don’t think I would be comfortable exposing myself on social media. I am a private person and don’t really enjoy putting myself out there. My younger sister is an influencer, she loves it and it suits her personality. If you think you have something to offer to people and crave social media attention then go for it.

If they were geographically availble, absolutely. I have let severel others who have manufactured their own misery cry on my shoulders.
Of course, that doesn't make them immune from being told that they have to quit blaming other things for their own bad decisions.
We all need to take accountablilty for our own actions.

I happen to feel that way about most professional entertainers (which to me would also include pro athletes) as well.
