A dialect of Ligurian called Tabarchino, spoken in some parts of Sardinia, was spoken too until late 19th century in the small island of Tabarca in Spain A song in Tabarchino from De Andre too:

By some linguists is NOT classified as Gallo Italic/Celtic Italic, indeed it's very different from Emilian-Lombard-Piedmontese-Rumagnol. This is the reason why southern piedmontese and ligurian sounds somewhat portuguese, on the contrary from Emilia-Lombard (and eastern piedmont) which have sounds that are almost indentical to french.

By some linguists Ligurian is NOT classified as Gallo Italic/Celtic Italic, indeed it's very different from Emilian-Lombard-Piedmontese-Rumagnol. This is the reason why southern piedmontese and ligurian sound somewhat portuguese, on the contrary from Emilia-Lombard (and eastern piedmont) which have sounds that are almost indentical to french, and they could actually be mistaken for french by someone who doesn't know the French language.
