I am sure some of you at least must be aware of the alignment system often used in many Role-Playing games (and if not you should be ashamed of yourself). It is made of two axes: the first Lawful-Neutral-Chaotic and the second Good-Neutral-Evil and any character can be classified as a member of one of the nine resulting categories as shown in the following picture:
I would recommend reading further here before jumping to any conclusions since I have found that people often confuse the meanings and make assumptions about what each category entails. For example, a chaotic person does not break laws just for the sake of it, they might have their reasons for doing so.
However, I do not believe that it is possible to reach a complete classification of someone's personality using this system. I would propose adding a third axis: Pious-Neutral-Athiest which would result in a total of 27 categories. Bear in mind that pious in this sense does not inherently mean religious. For someone to be considered religious they would have to fall in one of the three Pious-Lawful categories. A pious person is someone that believes in God or has faith in a greater being whereas an athiest obviously doesn't share this sentiment.
I feel Pious Chaotic Good describes me best. What about you guys?
