Amazing hot pink slugs discovered in Australia
A strange hot pink slug is discovered in Australia.
Giant pink slugs have been discovered on Mount Kaputar, near Narrabri in north-western New South Wales in Australia, in a secret world filled with unique species. During the day the mountain does not seem to be anything special, but on rainy nights unique species emerge and distinguish the area.
The giant, fluorescent pink slugs grow up to eight inches long and were originally spotted by locals after the area had experienced rainfall. Recently scientists classified the snails as Triboniophorus aff. graeffei along with several other snail species unique to the mountaintop. The mountaintop also includes three species of cannibalistic snails who follow a fellow snail’s trail of slime to locate it for a meal.
