Gypsy Weddings are really Rich, thats their Tradition, even the Poorest Gypsies make "Rich" Weddings, they collect money from all Relatives and Friends to make it etc.

I prefer a simple Wedding for myself though. I rather spend the Money later on a Living Place and Interior and save it for hard times etc.

Great thread! My guilty pleasure is My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. The dresses the brides wear are fascinating, and it's interesting to get a glimpse into a very secretive group of people. I guess the folks on that show are Irish travellers, not Roma, though.

I dont know about the English Version, but my Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding (American Version) features mostly Romanichals and to lesser degree other Groups like Lumari (Romanian Gypsies etc.)
