Whats the best company in the world according to you ?

There are many great companies out there, some examples could be: ebay, coca cola (yes coca cola, I mean who and what can damage their business? nothing..), apple etc

Personally I like google a lot, I see it as the best company in the world for the following reason:

1) they revolutionized the internet like nobody else (imo), their search engine swept away the competition, the idea of google maps is amazing, they revolutionized the free mail services, their gmail took the market by storm, it changed everything, their chrome browser is by far my favorite, it forced the boring IE to change and I also believe that Chrome is much better than Firefox. + many other small things. It's a rare example of a company that revolutionizes the industry time after time.

2) they have amazing daughter companies like 23andme who are clearly bound to make something awesome in other areas than internet.

3) they don't give dividends to the stockholders, instead, they spend billions on R&D

Google is the biggest out to destroy any shred of privacy. Coca Cola is a good company because it delivers fresh, but in-n-out is my favorite company.

I just said that microsoft established a monopoly in the 90's but hasn't done anything since then, in fact they failed on many other fronts, some examples:

1) search engine bing = fail
2) browser IE = fail, in fact microsoft was forced to follow firefox and chrome to make something out of IE
3) chat program MSN = fail, they were forced to buy skype or they would had lost the market.
4) bing maps = a lame copy of google maps = fail
5) console market = fail, x-box is not profitable
6) windows mobile = fail

I'm not a socialist, I eat them for breakfast.

1) "some" people, still they failed, it could have been a multibillion dollar business, instead they have like 10% or so market share = lame
2) IE is losing market share and has been losing market share since the appearance of firefox
3) the keyword is "used to use it", now its dead, they were forced to pay billions for skype or they would have lost it
4) they LOSE money on xbox, the site you provided gives a lame teardown, without including things like margins of the shop, maintenance costs etc
6) it came LATE so they FAILED. And their marketshare is pathetic.
