Default In Sofia marked the 138anniversary of the liberation by the Russian army from the Turkish occupation

Why anyone from bulgarians didn't write about it till this time?

By tradition, on January 4 in Sofia are the celebrations dedicated to the liberation of parts of the Russian army under the command of General Gurko. The city held a thanksgiving service, Present wreaths at the monument to General Gurko and the russian Tsar Liberator Alexander II.

With this public holiday congratulated Sofia Mayor Yordanka and Fandakova. Already established in recent years, high-ranking officials of the Bulgarian traditions, the mayor of Sofia in his congratulatory message did not mention the role of the Russian army in the liberation, as Sofia and Bulgaria in general. It's well kwown, that some bulgarians so srongly hate russians, so they would prefer to be Turkish slaves to the present time but not be liberated by russian army.

    Aleksander the 2th, Tsar-Liberator.

    Gurko, Josif Oleksandrovich, general.

It's not a turkish occupation but it is called turkish yoke.

And we celebrate it on the 3rd of March generally.

It wasn't a yoke. I would use the word "владичество" but have no idea how is it in English. No proud people should admit they were slaves of anyone or under a yoke.
