Why is this Sami Thread in the Turkish SubForum? The Sami People live in the northern regions of Scandinavian Countries. It should be in a Scandinavian SubForum, perhaps Sweden or Finland, or possibly in a History SubForum.

63,000 was the number of all those who were forcibly sterilised and that's an atrocity. One case already would have been an atrocity. But the idea that it was done to create an Aryan race and that it was a Saami genocide seems to be nonsense. The ideas behind it were social darwinist, and those who were targeted were usually criminals. That does not in any way excuse it, nor does it make the crime of sterilisation any less grave, in my opinion. But it wasn't a Saami genocide, that's the point.
