What flavor of Linux do you use?

Which Linux flavor/distribution are you currently using, and for what reasons?

I've installed and am currently running Slacko Puppy Linux at the moment, because I'm interested in learning how to manipulate 23andme genomic raw data.

Am trying to learn DIY genetic data manipulation using unix progs such as ADMIXTURE and PLINK.

I generally prefer the look and feel of Windows but Linux is a beast for DIY. How bout you what do you use?

Are you dual booting with another OS on your machine, or are you exclusively on Linux?

I'm dual booting Win 7 along with Puppy, because I just couldn't let go of Windows.

I heard Linux is mostly used by the geek squad,software developers,programmers,stuff like that.No reason for me to have it,I just surf,watch movies and youtube videos and do my college assignments.

I don't know what you are talking about but I was a Ubuntu Gnome user for years on my netbook, while they gave me the new laptop with Win 8 original so I didn't change it. I do like to play around in Ubuntu with commands in the shell at some point I started to explore the shell with a book "Learn the shell" so I am a Ubuntu fan. I also tried Mint but didn't like it
