It is interesting to me Lithuanians look very similar to their Slavic neighbors despite having different haplogroups. Autosomally though they are similar to Poles and Belarusians, though they lack the NE Asian type affinities of Russians and Finns.

Their dominant Y-chromosome marker is R1a1 ~45%. R1a1 reaches to 62% in south-eastern Lithuania. Subbranches within R1a1 are similar to those found in Belarusian population. Lithuanians also have a lot of N1c1 37% on average, 30% in southern Lithuania. 10% of N1c1 on average in Belarus with 20% of N1c1 in northern Belarus. South-Baltic branch of N1c1 found among Lithuanias, Latvians, Belarusians, Ukrainians and some regions of Russia. Finns have their own branches of N1c1.

    I voted in 3 topics.
For 4 centuries we lived in one state. The interaction between the Poles, Lithuanians and Belarusians was significant.
