I wonder if the Jamaica that was quardoon level Amerindian was someone like Maxi Priest:

That person probably had a recent ancestors from South America like Guyana. Since Guyanese have been relocating to other British Caribbean countries. But I don't want to derail the thread with off topics.

I've never said otherwise, its obvious there is a lot more European in DR. There is more in DR than any other island outside of PR and Cuba; so it's not something new I'm learning. I would even say that Dominicans are more balanced triracial/multiracial vs Cubans. My previous comment was meaning in Latin America, since the person excluded Haiti. This is just nit picking, since I had mention Spaniards before.

actually DR is closer more to Martinique & Guadeloupe, Curacao, & Bonaire phenotypically and Genetically

DR is not that much more European than Saint Lucia, the thing is DR has not had enough DNA tests to determine the average or overal, some put DR at 50% Euro, 42% SSA, and 8% Native (but it was tested in the whitest region of the Country, which is el Cibao) others put DR at 60% SSA, 30% Euro, 5% Native, 5% MENA, others at 70% SSA

me having been to these islands (lesser antilles) they don't seem any different demographically to DR, but PR and Cuba are def more European, while Cuba has a big SSA component (but it doesn't even come close to DR)

if i had to estimate based on what i saw and also studies done (such as estimates and dna)

The purest Blacks would be like this

    1. Haiti (Blackest)
    2. Bahamas & Turks and Caicos Islands
    3. Grenada
    4. Saint Vincent & The grenadines
    5. Montserrat (they fight with Saint Vincent, they'r pretty close in purity but considering the sheer numbers)

If you were to cross Dominicans with Haitians, then I think genetically that would be closer to Guadeloupe and Martinique. I could be wrong but from the study I've seen on Martinique, it was 30% European vs DR's 50%.

What study? There is no studys done on Turk and Caicos. Show me them, even the one posted in that "guess Brazilian thread" was a guess and didn't quote the actual study they used.

some studies puts DR at 30% Euro too

if we cross them both, DR-Haiti would be much blacker than Guade and Martini

we just cannot rely on one study it's far too complicated (specially for a country as big as DR)
