Race Is More Important Than Ethnicity

ethnicity encompasses many things biological, cultural, language, being raised somewhere etc. sometimes race is called ethnicity too, for example i saw where someone called black and white not races but ethnicities.

I wouldn't call white an ethnicity. It's definately a "race" due to its untenability and lack of any real criteria other than physical features (many of which cannot even be agreed upon by everyone, hence why occasionally Middle-Eastern peoples are classified by some as white)

The only time I'd really consider "black" an ethnicity is in reference to Black Americans (aka African-Americans), who fill many of my personal Criteria as an ethnicity (Speaking a Common Language, a common homeland, a genetic distinctness from others, a common culture that is distinct, a sense of identity, the existance of ethnic-nationalism (as opposed to racial nationalism)). But these are different from other "black" people from Africa and the Carribean.

i noticed that most europeans do. but to assume its universally valid is wrong. but usually europeans write race books etc. and place others. eventhough others have a very loose concept of "race" and not as defined, and not as important for many they consider their clan or their ethnicity as much more important and they have rules who belongs to their clan and who not. its very similar to your concept of race though but still different. but usually europeans would bother asking "but what race is that" or why "asians make difference between eatch other they are yellow and look the same etc."
