So, I just had the misfortune to tune in to german television, which I normally try to avoid.
But the first thing that came in the news was the arrest of Doğan Akhanlı, a German-Turk who wrote a couple of books, specifically about the Armenien genocide.
Now, I did some more digging on him, and he also seems to be a radical leftist (possibly),https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do%C4%9Fan_Akhanl%C4%B1 1975.because he bought a left-wing paper
I thought maybe you guys could give me a quick run-down of him. How is he seen in turkey? Is his arrest justified? Is he really a communist?
