What do you think of your country's flag?

The color combination between red and green is probably not the best but it is certainly a unique flag that can hardly be mistaken for any other.

As Endovélico pointed out before, our traditional colors have historically been for the most part blue and white.

Very pretty, imo. One of the best things in Brazil is the flag, haha But I must say that the positivism slogan wirtten on it bother me a little bit "Ordem e Progresso" (Order and Progres) does not make sense nowdays in our country because it is the oppsite of it.

Anyways, the flag has not changed a lot even after the country become a republic and left the monarchy. Basic the meaning of colors: green is the color of the House of Braganza from D. Pedro I and the yeallow it's because the House of Habsburg and D. Maria Leopoldina (D. Pedro I wife).

I like the American flag too, but I have some reservations regarding the stars. The 13 stripes seem like a nice homage to the original 13 colonies, but the 50 stars are subject to change every time we gain or lose a state. If Puerto Rico joins, then there will be 51 stars and we'll have to change the whole thing again. But it still looks nice overall.
