    Yes, I stand behind your interest in pursuing a study of theology -- a good idea. But, it can involve abstract theological reading that drifts away from our personal matters of interest. This is done to develop an expansive, more complete knowledge of theology. Perhaps, it can serve to enrich your spiritual growth, simply because it expands our knowledge, from the perspective of others whom made inquiry into our place in the cosmos.

    Intense theological study rarely enriches one's spiritual growth. I have heard the contrary.
