I never had to ask anyone out (one advantage of being a girl), but I have been rejected in the way some boy I liked didnt ask me out or gave me the attention I wanted. I never exposed my feelings first, instead I waited for the guy to come at me but a couple of times that just never happened.

I was snubbed by a 16yo girl at work when I was 20/21. She was single at the time. She humiliated me (insulted my looks - I passed for 15-ish not 21) and I later saw her dating a Towering Handsome Jock. Shit cut me up for years, she wasn't a "Stacey" or top tier looking girl either, just a skinny blonde that was relatively plain.
