Man I have nothing against Slavs. Yes they reached Crete but they didn’t seem to leave any significant impact. I have said that there are some toponyms here with Slavic origin, but they’re few, around 20 if I’m not mistaken. I have been to like 3 of those, one is kinda close to my village in Chania region

Anyway Cretan haplogroups for the record. I think most I2a in Crete is basal.

Slavic input in Crete suggests mainland Greek settlement in the last 1000 years. It is doubtful actual Slavic speaking people were in Crete, most likely this Slavic input arrived by people who were already Hellenized.

There are no recorded mainland Greek migrations to Crete if I’m not mistaken.

Some Arvanites are recorded though. An example is the Koundouris family. My aunt is married to one.

The Byzantines settled Rus mercenaries here although the Rus were Vikings with maybe Ukrainian and Baltic input. Might explain some things.

How common is I2a1b in Crete or in better words how many % of Cretans carry this haplogroup at all?

As far as i understand most I wether I1 or I2 in Crete is native and exists there already from the times of Minoans
