basically they are going to build a temple on top of the Islamic dome of the rock, which can cause a uproar in the Islamic world.

This should symbolize the establishment of the New World Order.
There are very few reasons for the joy of non-Jews.
Capitalism is entering its final stage - fascism based on a digital concentration camp. Marx and Lenin warned about everything, but as usual, people do not care, they are already accustomed to suffering.

The Dome of the Rock was commissioned by the Umayyad caliph, Abd al-Malik, and was completed in 691 AD. Although it is not entirely certain as to the original function of the Dome of the Rock, it is certain that it was not built as a mosque for public worship.

This could lead to a war (regional or larger) between Arab/Muslim war vs Israel/allies.
Because the Jews and Muslims see it as important.
And for those who are believers: there are theological/religious implications (which will vary depending what Christian group you are).

I disagree that it's the fulfillment of prophecy. The Body of Christ is the temple of God - that is to say, that the bodies of those who are in Christ are the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 6:13-20.
If a man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His (Rom 8:9). But if you do have the Spirit of God, most surely you are not your own, but bought with a price. And that's Paul's argument in 1 Cor 6 for why fornication is unlike other sins, in that you sin against the body. You sin against Christ's very members.
Isn't that wonderful? If you are born again, your body is not your own - it is Christ's. IF you are born again you are bought with a price. You are His members, His blood-bought property. You are not your own - rather, you are owned. God calls His people His peculiar treasure - Exo 19:5. The statement appearing in Exodus is conditional on the obedience of the Israelites. But they disobeyed God. Nevertheless, Christ fulfilled all God's righteous commandments on our behalf, and He Who knew no sin was made sin for us. Thus, if we've believed into Him, if we are born again, sealed with the Spirit, we can look at the promises in the Old Testament and realize that they are fulfilled for us in Christ, and not in any sense any longer conditional on our own obedience but on Christ's - and, by extension, our unbreakable union with Him.
God doesn't live in temples made with hands (Acts 7:48, 17:24). He lives in His own people.
