That is related with their honour values. In oppostion in the west people suicide because of bad weather and because they are "depressed", every shameless creep is entitled to play the victim card in the West, while in Japan that is virtually non-existant. In Japan if you are weak, disonourable shameless scum you'd better put an end to your life, society is better without you. That is healthy eugenics.

Superior in the sense they kept their old traditions while being in the same time at the peak of the modern day technology. Other than that, nothing peculiar and quite overrated imo. On the other hand if they had immigration, they'd been fucked up the same way Germany and Sweden are.

They may end their life for financial reasons and it might be in their culture from samurai years but still many of them suicide from loneliness because of overused technology.
As another user said individual thinking is not in their culture.
A nation where people don't care about personal development in mental/character aspects can't really be called superior but a programmed society instead.
Calling them the Germans of the East is similar to calling them the North Koreans of the First World if you get my point.

when all humans share 99.9 of genes with each other,
we are still talking about racial superiority, or even the existance of race ?..i thought this was 2019.
EVERYTHING, and everything, is explained in the book Guns, germs and steel.
That book will tell you why Europe has developed, but others haven't caught up as fast.
We will argue once you have read it and understood it. Ciao
