In Australia, a woman named "Belle Gibson" faked having cancer to become famous on social media, then pretended to of undergone heart surgeries and suffering from strokes. She then claimed to have been cured via alternative medicine and scammed many people by promoting her book and app on wellness. It was all fake and allegedly she made a lot of money and lived an opulent lifestyle where she indulged in luxury cars, cosmetic procedures, holidays and designer clothing.
