Nope. There have been an increasing number of "incel-related" crimes, notably shootings in this recent decade. Because media has been hyper-focused on gun violence, specifically mass shootings, the once obscure and still rather rare “incel” has been suddenly thrust into the public eye, leading to studies on youth sexual activity that are then parroted and wrongly correlated with the amplified issue of shootings.

I watched 1-2 of his videos and when he said he spent $300 on a pair of sunglasses I immediately thought that he could've spent that money on 1-2 college girl hookers who needed help paying for textbooks. He writes in his 'Manifesto' that his sessions with a female therapist provided temporary relief from his obsessive pain. His father offered to pay for him to see prostitutes on several occasions. I can only assume that he declined because he thought he was "above it" and there is stigma attached to patronizing hookers. Incel means 'involuntarily celibate', so technically, if you have the opportunity to visit hookers, but you decline, you aren't involuntarily celibate. Now, I'm not saying that his patronizing hookers would solve his problems once and for all, but I do believe that it would've temporarily relieved his existential angst and allowed him to get used to interacting with good looking, college aged women. He could've used it as a spring-board to a casual sexual relationship with a non-pro or a romantic relationship. The guy also clearly didn't go to the gym, which means that he wasn't sufficiently connected to his body and was therefore stuck in his head all the time. His famous father should have hooked him up with a professional network and helped him to land a job working in the entertainment industry. The kid literally had EVERYTHING going for him except the proper attitude and guidance. I fault his father for that, I really do. This however doesn't dissolve Elliot of personal responsibility.

The very least we could do for incels is to legalize prostitution. Men with very low value on the sexual market (often for reasons they can't control like being ugly and short) have less and less dating opportunities as the society moves away from monogamous standards and adopts filtering apps like Tinder as standard means of dating. Sexual needs are to some extent essential just like eating, drinking, sheltering and socializing.

Prostitution is anyway illegal in most places.

I don't say government should bring them women at home nor that prostitution should be legalized, but what I'm saying is that (cyber)bullying people with psychological issues should be penalized, same way racism is penalized, even-though in reality that's something unlikely to happen.
