Anybody else hate dressing up?

Probably not, I would give him non-verbal social cues about it. If that did not work I would buy him a coffee table book on proper dress for his birthday or Christmas or something. If they came to an interview to be hired, with prole gape, I would not hire them , though.

I’m usually wearing some form of business casual clothing. My preferred clothing style is casual Lolita. It’s not odd to see me in nice dresses etc paired with converses.

I’ve never really been in a situation where the dress code requires more. The idea of it sounds really lovely though.

I'd have no issue in wearing a suit (I think they're uncomfortable though). With a turtleneck ? Sure. Open collar ? Yes. I might consider a loosely tied Ascot but only when it doesn't choke me.
As for the colour scheme: something like this - during autumn (it matches my hair and beard).

That gentleman is actually dressed properly if he'd ditch the sunglasses. One time I was on the Denver Mall bus with my Scala fedora, my Italian wool overcoat, my tan sheepskin gloves, and cognac loafers with horse-bits. Basically dressed like an early-mid 20th century Italian-American gangster. One over-the-hill lady said, "This guy scares me..."

I've also had cute girls stop me on the street to tell me how dapper I looked.
