Precisely and I hope that the EU will set an example with them - an example they will never forget as we can now safely assume that they joined under false pretences as they have only disrupted the EEC/EU while still taking up a privileged position far above their input and actual economic strength. They have violated our collective trust and they should be punished for it - and punished hard. I think Brussels shouldn't even conclude the matter in Brussels itself - but in the Hall of Mirrors. That is where such matters belong. They should take 'em to Versailles.
Wake up and smell the coffee.

99% of the New World have no idea where Georgia even is. 75% don't even know it's a country.
They seem alright though.

I had great time too, because they have great food and - especially - wine, but they have a lot of problems, to be fair, which shouldn't be imported into the EU, in my opinion. Foe example their president obviously is authoritarian autocrat who fears the people, because the president palace was under huge walls with people with arms circling around. It felt more like a palace of a mafia guy etc.
Europeans do not hate EU. Its a lie that the alt right (sponsored by Russia who wants to see EU collapse so that it could influence/force/exploit the EU states much easier, now supported by Trump too) is repeating, but there is no viable alternative they are proposing (except to hate the neighbor and we know how that would end). In reality since 1954 EU (previously EEC till 1993) has improved the standard of life of all its members and it has practically stopped any (military) tension between them. It managed to create a sense of unity and cooperation.
Of course, there have been mistakes, especially in the last decade, but those are due to the fact that EU is not united enough to respond to the challenges: like migration. Plus those mistakes are exaggerated by the hybrid war many enemies are waging against EU: I dare to say that even Brexit and Catalunia are direct result of those lies and misrepresentations.

What the hell are you talking about?
This women is president of Georgia and she is not a "mafia guy" definitely.
That's how people meet her after leaving a restaurant, people are angry because she bought too expensive furniture for president palace.
And the palace is not under huge walls, actually there is no walls at all, and it's open from street.
Protest in front of president's palace.
Rave protest in front of Parliament building after raids in nightclubs.
Rule of law index in Georgia is higher than in many countries of Europe who are already members of EU. What kind of autocracy are you talking, lol.

That was my impression from 2016 for the president palace (at that time people living there told me it was a male president). Then after we went there - to the palace, we couldn't see the building from the walls. I was PERSONALLY there.
Plus the people were too religious and really conservative - two things you will not associate with EU.
