The Montenegrins belong to the Serbian branch of the South Slav peoples ... They speak the Serbian language, using the Cyrillic alphabet. In religion the majority traditionally belong to the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Montenegrin (Crnogorac) as an ethnicity as a national identity does not exist. A Montenegrin (Crnogorac) used to be a Serb who is called a Montenegrin (Crnogorac) because he lives in the then region of Montenegro (Crna Gora), but still he was not a national Montenegrin (Crnogorac), he was a Serb. The Montenegrin (Crnogorska) nation does not exist and no propaganda, no false history, no enmity will convince my people, the Serbian people who live down there.
