Unhappy Help me to find my Great-grandpa"s ethnicity

I used chromosome browser and I found it.

This french guy have got all his ancestors from France until 1920's, he didn't detail before it. On the pic there is my mother's cousin (1st cousin of my grandma), they share a Sicilian ancestor. The other one is a closer Brazilian (48.3 cM, 0.7%, 4 segments) that I never heard about, with a lot of French, German and English people on his family tree (very atypical in Brazil), but she was very rude and don't want to help-me, but she told me she never heard about my know Italian surnames.

    Her chromosome browser:

I ask you if are they related with my mother's Sicilian cousin (an ancient common ancestor) or can I assume I found that my great-grandpa was really the Turco-French man that my great-grandma always talked about?

I ask you because there are a bit of overlap and because this Brazilian match specific branch has one unknown Italian surname.

How are we supposed to know your great-grandfather's ancestry if even your mother doesn't know it? I guess he was some kind of Southern European or something. 1/8 is not a lot and largely diluted in you because it wouldn't have been drastically different to begin with (not like Japanesee or African or Native American).

I dunno, if that is possible. You only share 12.5% of your DNA probably with your great-grandfather. Best I could do is map your parents to 400 kilometers of their ethnicity individually. Beyond that, good luck !

These results are of my mother, so 25% of my unknown great-grandpa DNA.
