Taking in immigrants increase the amount of people who use welfare state, because - like natives - immigrants also use public services, healthcare, pension etc. So I don't see how immigrants solve the problem.

If they would promote the birth of native Spanish, we would not need foreigners.

On the other hand, I do not know why they are going to bring people to work from abroad, if we have a 15% unemployment, they should focus on creating more and better jobs here, before doing it.

And to finish, they have not known or anticipated the severity of a "pandemic" two weeks in advance, so they should stop planning anything 20 years in advance.

To give you an idea, 40% of taxes in Spain go to Welfare (and the vast majority are pensions)

Yes, Spanish people use the welfare system, but immigrants won't use it?

I think I misused the word welfare system, I should have directly said pension system. In Spain the retirement age is 67 years, and very soon the baby boom generation will retire. This puts Spain in a bad situation since few young people will have to pay the retirement of many old people, so there are two solutions, change the pension system or attract immigrants.

What if immigrants will rely on government assistance more than native spaniards? What then? That would make the whole immigration pointless. How do you make sure that doesn't happen?

    The solution isn't more immigrants.
    The solution is more babies.

You already have incredible unemployment numbers, its not like you economy lacks workforce, the workforce lacks a growing economy.

So you invite immigrants who are ususlly 2/3 young adult men, that will have no jobs, face a gender disbalance, are barrelly qualified and educated?

Thats good stuff for French and German like ethnic tensions and battles.

At the end the liberals try to fix the issues they caused with more liberal ideas, the only way to fix this is the abolishment of the liberal democracy.
