Pakistan is closer to Near East it is to Far East but it is rather a South Asian country.
West Asia = Near East (Middle East)
East Asia = Far East
Neither Central Asia nor South Asia can be classified as such because they are in the transition zone between Middle East and Far East.

Near East is The Levant and Anatolia if I'm not mistaken (at least the modern definition of it)
Pakistan would be Far-Middle East, not really Far-East because Far East is more leaning toward East Asia (China, Korea, Japan)
West Asia = Near East (Middle East)
East Asia = Far East
Far-Near East Would be a better classification for it, or perhaps Far-Middle East. More or less no one classifies Pakistan as Near, Far or Middle Eastern. People classify it as South Asian.

Its South Asia.
Youd think if English made any sense it would be: Near East (close to Europe) , Middle East (in between Near and Far), and then Far East.
But instead Near East and Middle East are almost interchangeable.
These terms are still stupid considering the New World was "found" and they are more Western than Europe.

Pakistan is bridge between Iranic worlds and Indid worlds. Indus River separates the two.
