Never happened to me, because I had a habit of praying before going to bed, even before I became a committed Christian. I always sleep peacefully. These things are definitely demonic in nature, and it seems that when you're in a half-asleep state you are more attuned to the spiritual realm.

I've experienced this in the past....but i use the fear and turn it into rage

in the half sleep-half awake state I try and turn myself into an enraged tiger and attack the evil presence

Same. They were always in the doorway as if they were watching me. I don’t have them much as an adult either. I do tend to have very vivid dreams, and I journal them. Dreams and their possible meanings have always fascinated. I feel like we have so much to learn about dreams and the psychological aspect behind them.

I've had that happen to me years ago and it did shock me profoundly for a few days. Thankfully it didn't happen again. I feel sorry for people that have such sleep disturbances consistently.

I've never experienced such a thing, must be terrifying. I don't usually have nightmares either. The only thing dream's do is motivate me to get things done. If I'm procrastinating something, I usually dream of getting it done maybe due to anxiety. Then I wake up with motivation.

@3 am it is said to be the strongest time for the spirit realm to collide with this realm.

5 years ago.. An elderly women in black opened my bedroom door trying to attack me while I was asleep, for some reason I decided to confront her with a smile.. She freaked out and vanished..

I find it so strange how people have very similar encounters with these shadow figures. I have vivid dreams, as well! I've even had some prophetic ones. It's all very interesting.
