Those have changed countless times over all of europe in the last couple hundred years. I definitely don't see EU europeanism as more "european" than say U.K. culture/behavior or Russian culture/behavior. Seems to be a very german-centric point of view. That, at least, is definitely very typical for Germans if for no one else.

But do you mean that Albanians are Illyrians or are originally from an Illyrian tribe? What about other Illyrians (that are not Albanian)? Are they slavicized (genetically speaking)?

Eh it's just generalizing but they're probably from an Illyrian tribe. Or at least, Albanians I know claim to be. Makes sense they'd be some kind of illyrian with small slavic input and some other minor contirbutions. Yes, the others are slavicized. I mean, we know that to a large extent, balkan Slavs are a mixture of a greek-like population and a polish-like population.
