Default Indian surnames sound European to me

Am I the only one who thinks Indian surname (particularly Northern Indian ones) sound very European. For example:

Luthra, Sehgal, Sharma, Singh/Kaur, Mathur, Saxena, Chopra, Malhotra, Gupta, Saini, Chaudhri, Goyal, Chauhan, Rastogi, Gulati, Bhatia, Kumar, Arora, Grover, Varma, Chand/Chander/Chandra

What about Saxena and Luthra? They sound like they originated from Germanic language.
    Rastogi and Gulati sound Italian.
    Grover sounds English.
And Chopra reminds me of Chopin (like the musician Federic Chopin).

Yeah but Indian first names don’t really sound European. Only the last names do.
