Your response is very emotional and arrogant! I'm not sure why you're so offended because you're not even the OP! You're rarely here, so you missed out hard on the "what did they look like" threads because they're annoyingly everywhere. But again, it's not about "what they looked like". It's about pigeon-boxing broad groups and painting them under the same brush! These ENFs and WHGs were diverse looking and were from 5000+ years ago. They were hardly noteworthy. What's more intriguing is maybe "what did ancient Egyptians look like" or something like that. An actual ethnic group that wasn't prehistoric. Making a debate about how these hunter gatherers looked like is fucking irrelevant, because they would've looked like anything! Now carry on with your emotional response...

I absolutely love this picture, above all else I’ve seen.

Imo. the artist here so very well illustrates how 'we' (coming from the old shamanic, animist ways) perceive, "see" (everything in the Universe as Energy):

What does a real aboriginal person look like?

    Well – from a 360 degree (energy-field) view he/she expresses his/her culture with everything he/she IS:

The fake ones may look the same, but they are out there only promoting themselves, taking a lot of ‘selfies’ I suppose.
But because 'westerners' only rely on appearances - they have no clue whether the person is connected to their culture or not.

It is the same with ‘pretendians’ dressed up as Amerind natives … met too many of those.

(Art by Lin Onus, who looks at 'aboriginality' from many different angles).

They form most of the genetic backbone of modern europeans, just because they didn't have writing means nothing.

That's far less interesting because the answer is very simple. Ancient egyptians would have looked like modern day jordanians or syrians. Anyone that argues otherwise, in any direction, is probably retarded. Just like we know well enough that any ethnic groups from the last 4000 years most likely resemble their closest modern counterparts. It's way more interesting to read about prehistoric groups that we don't know as much about.
