Iberians are recognizable because they have coarser features and are smaller

unlike southern Europeans, French are not fan of intensive tanning and do not spend their time outdoors



all southwest of france mentioned by the poster, are full of spanish and portugese they are a huge number so they assimilated to locals and you can see them in rural areas acting french
the nordid looking you see there are probably british they are many to have a second home there
the real locals look like britons and people of northwest of france (poitou charentes pays de la loire ...) even their attitude is different they are colder and are not weirdos like southwest euros assholes immigrants
french are closer to germans and british 23andme used to group french and germans in one ethnicity

The south is also full of French people from other regions that have northernized the region too, if you look at many surnames in the south these days they're French. Here are people from the south-west with native Gascon surnames and the difference between them and Eastern Spaniards is null imo:






23andme grouped them into one group because of the region between Germany and France (like Swiss, Benlux) has a lot of overlap. However many French people from France, especially the south got a lot of Iberian results. 23andme groups Hungarians and Russians together too..
