it's Serbian language, ponos means pride. in 2006 I was trading Serbian ultras stuff between uni mates, and one of my uni colleagues (now still active Spartak Moscow guy) ordered a scarf "ponos grada" (pride of the city) of Red Star Belgrade and I remember people were making fun about ponos

What's the story on that? Were the Soviet space authorities worried their cosmonauts would start acting strangely on a long space mission with no female companionship? It was published in 1964 by someone named V.G Denisov - very little was known then about the physical and psychological effects that spaceflight would have on humans, so I guess they wanted to cover all bases.
